Oh!It was a beneficial workout for me to go through your webpage. It definitely stretches the limits with the mind when you go through very good info and make an effort to interpret it properly.

My compliments on the video - will never be a proponent of any form of socialism though - EVER.

Different people in the world get the loans from different banks, just because it's comfortable.

"In a world of abundance for all no one will have to struggle or even work for the necessities of life, which will be a birth right just like the air we all breath."
Sorry but for your fantasy world of abundance to exist, work will be required.
What makes you people think communism would be any different this time around than it has been in any other historical case?
If you suggest as an explanation that no previous communist system was wholly industrialized at the onset, which is an academic fallacy, keep in mind manufacturing in the United States has been in decline for two decades. We're about as industrialized as a vending machine.Posted by Ian, 10/24/2011 12:33am (1 year ago)

I feel like this video focused too much on communist society, a fairly theoretical idea, rather than actual socialist change which is what is needed as soon as possible. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Marxist communist, but Americans today want to know why socialism will work, and a more brief explanation of the ultimate communist society will suffice to clear the bad rap communism's been getting over the last century.
The video was nice though. Even many American socialists have misconceptions about communism (thinking communism is socialism under dictatorship). Another video, or a series would be excellent, which explained things a little better for the practical development of communist socialism I believe would be helpful for the person inquiring into communism. Because, to be quite honest, not many people will come here and read through the party program to understand our understanding of socialism (or socialism in general), they will assume we all think, "We is commies, can I has dictatorship?"
I suggest for the next video, should it be made, a more thorough explanation of both capitalism and socialism. First giving the premise of the antagonism, exploitation, inequality, patriarchy, racism, and all that jazz due to the nature of private property. Then start explaining the basics of socialism, explaining how it would place the workplace under direct democratic control, how it would provide jobs, fair pay, etc. Explaining how socialism would eventually do away with private property, and how this would solve the issue of the aforementioned capitalism. Refute the Soviet Union and North Korea a little more, although I think that was covered fairly nicely in this one. And also explain how communism is a transition, perhaps quoting the old "withering" analogy, and then follow with the arguments for the final communist society.
Now I’ll explain some things to the anticommunists. Someone mentioned crimes of passion and how they believed that proved the need for police, yet they do not see how crime of passion derive from years of capitalist alienation, and under communism the individual would be united with his co-workers, his neighbours, and all his fellows, and murder would be reserved for the mentally ill. Let me describe it this way: Imagine a murderer. Think what happened to him before the murder. Would he have done it had he not been crippled with debt? Would he have done it had he been valued at work, did something meaningful, and had say in how he did things? Would he have done it if he hadn't a bunch of bills and taxes to pay? Would he have done it if he didn't have a boss breathing on his back every minute? Would he do it if he had no fear of loosing his job? You see that under communism each man and woman is fully valued and treated fairly, and that forces each man and woman to value their fellows.

Really? REALLY? Hey, folks, the 18th century's been over for a while.
Everyone will work on projects of their choosing/liking ... so who's going to do the grunt work necessary to feed everybody? Lots of programmers loved building Linux. Who loves digging potatoes and giving them away?
Somebody needs to get out of the classroom for a while and try their hand at life.

The idea that human beings can live peaceably together with no government, no profit incentive, and no justice system, is ludicrous. The gentleman who is explaining communism says that people will no longer have intolerable shortages of food, shelter, or voluntary work under communism.
Even under such conditions, Communism fails to take into account one thing: those who commit crimes are not always doing so in order to gain the necessities of life. Murder is often simply a crime of passion--the result of the interplay of human emotions: anger, mental instability, depression. These emotions cannot be resolved by being provided with a sufficient living environment.
A police force must be provided.Posted by A Capitalist, 10/06/2011 8:34pm (1 year ago)

The use of profanity in a Party video is very unprofessional.
