Communist Party USA says Stop Interference in Venezuela
The Communist Party USA expresses its alarm at the fast
moving developments in the Ukraine, and calls upon the
people of the United States to insist that our government
back off from a pattern of interference that does not serve
the interests of either the Ukrainian or the U.S. people.
Jarvis Tyner, Executive Vice-Chair of the Communist Party
USA, speaks about the history of African Americans in North
America, the interconnection between racism and captialism
in the U.S., the role of slavery in accumulating massive
wealth and more.
The Communist Party USA denounces the events that have
transpired in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela over the
past week. Some opponents of the progressive government of
Nicolas Maduro, coming from privileged strata which do not
accept the achievements of the Bolivarian government, went
far beyond peaceful protest, which is guaranteed to them as
a right by the Venezuelan constitution, and committed acts
of violence in Caracas and other areas. At least four
people have died, with disturbances continuing.
