The Marxist Classes: The Communist Manifesto

“The history of all hitherto existing societies is the history of class struggles.” So begins the first section of Marx and Engels’ Communist Manifesto, the fundamental analysis of political economy and “history’s most important political document.” The language of the Manifesto is brought to life by Anita Waters, CPUSA National Board member and Professor Emerita of sociology at Denison University. This presentation of parts 1 and 2 of the Manifesto is essential viewing for those new to Marxism.
