Can Trump forge a new white supremacist governing coalition?

When Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced the Justice Department would begin investigating “intentional race-based discrimination,” the only surprise was the degree of brazenness.

Taken together with a spate of other Trump Administration announcements, its aim is crystal clear: to bull-rush through an unpopular agenda, ensure authoritarian rule, and consolidate a permanent governing constituency based on white nationalism.

The Trump policies, despite their populist mask, are hugely unpopular and face unprecedented resistance. Nevertheless, the Trump administration is forging ahead with an extreme right-wing agenda to radically undo environmental, worker, and civil rights protections and curtail freedom of the press.  Read more.

Are you going to be picking your own candidate to run in the next Presidential Election in 2020?

Is it true that Karl Marx’s son in law was part black? If so, let the black folks know!

Black people are capable of determining worth. Their decisions don’t rely solely on whether or not another Black person said it or is affiliated with it.

Great article. But what do we do to combat this? How can we begin to alter this course? It seems as protests really do little to enact change and only divide the proletariat more. Obviously the first step is the step this article is taking, which is to inform the masses but what is the next step? Hope to hear from anybody on this. Thanks

public opinion is powerful…resist resist resist….demonstrate, march and be vocal…the voice of the people, in concert, has and will always affect “change”…

Do you write for the Huff Post? Is race and gender substituting class in the “Marxist” CPUSA?

    Joe Sims | August 26, 2017 at 1:38 PM

For Marxists class is basic true but race and gender are huge factors as well. It was Marx himself who said, “Labor in the white skin cannot be free if labor in black skin is branded.”

In fact only focusing on class is a one-sided distortion of socialist/communist worldview.
