Greetings from the Japanese Communist Party

BY: Japanese Communist Party| June 24, 2014

The Japanese Communist Party sends its greetings with solidarity to the National Convention of the Communist Party USA.

We hope that your Convention will make a great contribution to advancing struggle to protect and enhance the rights and living conditions of U.S. workers and people as well as to progress of anti-nuclear and anti-war grass-roots movements.

In Japan, the Abe cabinet is now trying to eliminate the country’s pacifism in order to create a state capable of conducting war in alliance with the U.S. under the name of collective self-defense. This move has been welcomed and supported by the U.S. government. The JCP is making utmost efforts to thwart such move by expanding cooperation among a wide variety of individuals and organizations from all across the political spectrum.

We are looking forward that our parties will collaborate on issues of mutual interest such as to abrogate the U.S.-Japan security treaty and to help start negotiations on nuclear weapons abolition.
