The White House has articulated no strategic goals or timetable for its reckless, bloody, and illegal war, but soldiers across the armed forces are being told by their commanding officers that Donald Trump has been divinely ordained to use the war to bring about the end of the world. In reality, Christian nationalism’s apocalyptic delusions testify to the depth of the imperialist crisis. The more the real dominance of the United States wanes, the more violent and unhinged our ruling class becomes in its efforts to re-establish hegemony.
