The Communist Party USA upholds the unity of the world Communist movement and considers it a matter of principle. The CPUSA fights for the unity of all left and progressive forces in the fight against imperialism in general and U.S. imperialism in particular.
Our party does not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries or take sides in disputes between parties in individual countries or between countries building socialism — including in Venezuela, whose revolutionary process and fraternal party, the Communist Party of Venezuela, we support and admire.
This has long been the position of the CPUSA National Committee and remains in force.
