The Bolshevik revolution had a great impact on the system of colonialism, struggles in southern Africa, and the fight against Jim Crow in the U.S., the subject of Philip S. Foner’s Bolshevik Revolution: Its Impact on American Radicals, Liberals, and Labor. Historian Gerald Horne, author of the introduction to a new edition of this important work, discusses the book and its author. Q&A follows.

    The Communist Party USA is a working class organization founded in 1919 in Chicago, IL.
