On the eve of World War 1, when the parties of the Second International betrayed the cause of peace, socialist women like Rosa Luxemburg and Clara Zetkin called on their working class sisters to take up the struggle against imperialist war, to “proclaim what your sons cannot yet affirm: that the laboring people of all countries are brothers!” Their call was rooted in a vision that saw struggles against imperialist war, capitalist exploitation, and male supremacy as inseparable-the same vision that guided revolutionary leaders like Claudia Jones, Vilma Espín, Madame Bình and many others around the world and across generations. Today, as U.S. imperialism threatens to plunge the world into yet another catastrophic war, that vision is more important than ever. Join us on Good Morning Revolution for a celebration of working class women’s leadership and a discussion of how workers of all genders can, and must, mobilize to stop imperialist war.
