New CP club organizing in Sacramento

New members in the Northern California District of the Communist Party USA have been working with District Organizer, Juan Lopez, to organize a club. We are somewhat geographically dispersed throughout our region, and currently refer to ourselves as the “Davis-Sacramento Club,” an area that includes the California state capital, and the University of California at Davis. Following our first meeting with Juan, we contacted all individuals that the National Party list of new members indicated were residents of this area of the state, and we arranged to meet with them individually.

We are now a club of five persons, and have held three meetings to identify our initial goals, and plan how to pursue them. Our current priority is to use social media to let people in the region know that the “Davis-Sacramento Club” of the CPUSA is here, and to create opportunities for them to discuss how the realities of contemporary capitalism are affecting their lives today. We aspire to reach people throughout our various communities, as well as the campus community of UC Davis.
