Communist Party USA held its 27th National Convention July 6-8, 2001 at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The following was the proposed Convention schedule, to be adopted at the Convention.

Note: All events were at the Union Building, 2200 East Kenwood Blvd, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Thursday, July 5

Noon Registration opens
7pm Meeting of the outgoing National Committee
8pm-midnight Coffeehouse (music, poetry, etc.)

Friday, July 6

8am Registration opens
— Party/YCL Exhibits, Literature/Organization Tables Open
9:30am Opening Plenary
— Welcome, greetings
— Presentation of agenda, election of chair(s)
— Preliminary credentials report
KEYNOTE ADDRESS Sam Webb, National Chair
— Tribute to veterans
— Election of Convention committees
Noon-1pm Lunch
— Video Festival
1-3pm Plenary Session
— Report from Party Program Committee
3-4:30pm Issues Workshops/Panels
4:30-7pm Dinner
7-9pm PWW Courage Awards Celebration/Concert: “honoring champions of democracy, jobs and justice”, Fine Arts Theatre, 2400 East Kenwood Blvd.
9-10pm Presiding Committee
9pm-midnight Coffeehouse (music, poetry, etc.)
