Labor law discussion groups

Question: As left and socialist ideas become more mainstream, how do we advance the political independence of the working class and its core forces?

One option may be to hold large, public discussion groups focusing on educating people on labor law/rights. This could also be used as a venue to listen to workers express their concerns, and how they want to deal with the challenges labor faces today.
