Party Fund Drive – become a sustainer now
Donate The 2008 Party Fund Drive started May 1. A fund appeal letter is now at the printer, and plans for internet fund raising are also in the works. (OK, we won’t raise millions like some people have, but we might be surprised!)

A main element of the Fund Drive, which goes from May 1 until July 4, will be signing up new participants in the national Sustainer program. This program has three aims:
1) to raise the amount that members contribute to the Party and press (the goal is a week’s income where possible);
2) to distribute that money uniformly (40% to the press, 40% to the national Party; %20 to the district Party);
3) to streamline and automate members’ contributions, who sign up to have a set amount paid via credit or debit card every month, which spreads out their total annual contributions evenly over the course of the year.

Last year more than $60,000 came in via the national Sustainers, from roughly 150 people – which shows the tremendous potential of the program. Clubs and districts are encouraged to continue to reach out to friends and supporters for contributions, and to hold local fund raising events.
